Attic Garages

Attics make great storage space. They include spaces within a roof, created by attic truss design or the space between framing of roof and ceiling. Access is either by pull-down folding ladder or simply by a hatch with removeable panel reached by step ladder from below. These designs are not intended as "habitable space" uses, although adding a code compliant stairway and some fire separation features can be done if locally approved.
